Ick?

Tank has been running for a few months. Last fish(diamond watchman goby) was added about 1 month ago.

Tank has been running fine with no signs of stress, disease until today where I noticed this:

Is it ick? Honestly I do not have a QT tank, and my tank does have a couple of corals so I understand I should be careful with meds.

What should I do?
My other fish seem ok:

Pics of the jawfish and the Damsel did not come right but seem OK as well.

could it be sand? mandarin's are pretty resistant to ich, so i would think the other fish would be getting it before him. is he eating ok? scratching on rocks or substrate much?

The only thing I notice is a mandarin with a sand attached to it. They will produce a thick slime coat which will cause this.

Agreed, but if you look at the pictures it looks like he's using a coarse black sand for substrate, maybe a little white mixed in.

I am not sure either if this would be ick or just substrate particles.

hmm.. Should I just keep up my water changes and see how it develops?

Yeah, I've seen a mandarin with ich and this isn't it. It may be the pic; but the white grains seem to be in the water column too. Looks like sand or an undissolved additive/med.
