DONT USE COPPER!!!! its not invert or reef safe!! i would concentrate on keeping your water parameters in check and keep the fish well fed and they should be fine

There isn't much you can do except just feed the fish and hope the ich goes away. The fish will either fight it off or it will die. There is little you can do to help it IMO. You can try different things but you would be better off saving your money for a new yellow tang if it comes down to that (hopefully it doesn't). Ick is just part of the hobby unfortunately. None of us can help you now. I would recommend though that you make sure to buy your livestock in the future from a place that has a good record of healthy livestock. I would recommend the reef shoppe. They have a very good method of keeping their fish healthy in their store and they have a very good supplier. The fight against ick starts with getting healthy livestock, then providing it a healthy environment to live in. Unfortunately sometimes even that is not enough. That is all we can tell you. Some may recommend garlic or some other remedy but the bottom line is your fish has to fight the ick off and there really isn't much you can do other than feed the fish and make sure it has clean water. Just hope for the best. If the fish dies wait 4 or 5 weeks, get your tank parameters in good order, and try again. Good luck and don't stress out too much (Your getting a little red in the face :) ).

Oh and if you can keep your hands out of the tank and don't add any new stuff. Messing around with the tank will just stress the fish out and make things worse. Good luck!!

responding to the email you sent me i would say don't waste your time with transferring it to a hospital tank it usually just stresses the fish out more
