ID algae please

I need some help here please. I have a purple algae thats growing on my powerhead, wanted to make sure that it was a good algae or if I needed to get rid of it. Also included is a pic of some green algae thats in my protein skimmer, also would like to know a lil info about it too. Thanks in advance!

Nothing wrong with either imo. I have had the red one before until the snails ate it, but the green one is pretty interesting. It doesn't look like any of the pest algae species at least.

Try posting in the plant and algae forum. Maybe they can help

It wasn't meant that way, lol. Honestly most people post in the general forum since there is a lot more traffic, and usually you get an ID for most things. I just figured for the green one you might need a specialist.

Ironically I think they ID'd your red algae in on of the first few threads somebody else had posted.
