ID and Sexing Please

I am looking at this horse and I think it's a H. erectus, and a female. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Hi there:
You would need to take a picture of the whole body. It seems the most important part is hidden behind the coral.
The best type of pictures to determine sex of pony would be a front shot and side shot when they are still juvies.

Looks more like Kuda to me

I am thinking it is a male and will soon develop full pouch in a month or two.
It could be H. Erectus since some look different. Where did you get and what name was it under?
Some are labeled Lined seahorse, Black Seahorse, and a few other names. I would be concerned about the whitish color on the tail spikes. Unless it is flash reflection.

Looks can be deserving-- I have had seahorse that seemed to be female for over a year and drop a pouch. :crazy1: I am just looking at how the belly has a small slope and not a round one.
Here is a pic of a young females from a few years ago.
I think yours and this one would be close in age.

Looks female to me, but like redhorse said it may drop a pouch at a later point.

I do not think it is a erectus.. Maybe thinking a kuda as well

I got it from a LFS and I was told it "may be a kudos", but he wasn't for sure. The whitish color on the tail spikes is where it was caught in a MP10. It was a very scary mistake that I made by forgetting to put the screen on the vortech. I was horrified when I saw her stuck in it.

I have been nursing her back to health, her tail looks completely healed today, and she is eating very well. She enjoys PE frozen mysis shrimp and eats 3 or 4 each meal. I got her for a very reasonable price as she was the last one in the tank and I have to drive so far. There is something to be said for doing business with a particular owner for almost 20 years.

That being said, my youngest son and I are absolutely enamored with the horses. I cannot wait to get a definitive Id and find her some companions. Would it be best to find her a male, then get another male/female pair as well?
