hi just got this coral. no idea what type or if its an LPS but it is definitely a hard coral. looks exactly like a mushroom but has a hard skeletal plate in it. this may not be fully open and is about 4cm across. thanks.

you think it looks OK then. what sort of care do they need. it has a mouth in the center and what look like tentacle buds on it. will it need target feeding? thanks for the fast reply. i got it for £6.

Just make sure that it is getting good light and your water is good and it hopefully should color up over the next few weeks.

If you can, feeding wouldnt hurt. I've always been able to feed my chalices frozen cyclopeeze when they open up at night.

Ive looked up all 3 on Google images. there is one that has the same shape and colouration that they think is a oxipora but i cant see on with a central mouth like a mushroom. it shrank back over the skeleton last night and has expanded agena little way of it again.
nice to have a little bit of mystery.

cheers. from what i have seen it looks very much like a Lithophyllon. not as exciting as some of the pics but a few look almost identical. not found much information on the web about it so if you have any it would be most appreciated. thank you.
