Found this bugger and he is currently in my sump. Could anyone please ID him? See pic below..

:lol: Fair enough...
He has been in my sump for a while now and will definately stay there!. I started target feeding him with my tongs and it appears he is no longer afraid of me. When I'm feeding my fish in the DT, he will come to the front of the tank and wave his pincers around...like its begging for food.
Does anyone know what species this crab might be??

my guess would be a red mithrax. this is only based on the tips of the claws, which look specialized to grab and pinch hair algae.

red eyed devil maybe? type of xanthid crab. i have one looking like that and hes been in my tank for 6 months. only bad thing hes ever done was rip a leg of my starfish because it was going in his burrow.
