Don't think its even a Fairy Wrasse, give me a minute and I should have it for you.

It is a wrasse, but does not seem to be a Scott's fairy wrasse. This is one of the few variations of a Scott's fairy wrasse, as is this .

Note that the ones in the links above have a sharper nose than the one you have shown - I would say that it is a Lunare wrasse, not "shrimp safe".

As I said it is a Wrasse just not a Fairy Wrasse.

Thalassoma quinquevittatum - or Red ribbon wrasse, if I remember correctly I wouldnt try to put it with any inverts such as shrimp or crabs.

Pretty positive that its not an Ornate or a Neon. Based on the photo and the barring I still say Red ribbon. The Wrasse family has a pretty extensive collection with alot of similar characteristics.

Thank you Shivaji - Those are beautiful pictures I had never seen those. Wrasses are by far my favorite fish. I just can't afford to house them all!! LOL

cannot get your url to work dragonladylea, but he does look a lot like the one Shivaji posted but a little different color and same pattern
