ID help please. Hydroid? Bryozoan? Or Other?

I really need some help with this ID. There have been ideas but no positive ID so far from multiple forums.

I am about to get my upgrade tank going and want to transfer my nice old rock rock from a RedSea Reefer 170 (43gal) to a Cade S2 1800 (250gal). I wanted to use some of my rock to seed the new tank, but I am also considering starting from scratch. I want to ID this first, both the rusty red portions and filamentous white?

This is my first post in ReefCentral.

Hmm the red may be a bryozoan or encrusting sponge.

The branchy pieces…I’m not seeing much of the common hydroids that we typically see. Reminds me of the rock you’d see in the old days. To me I wouldn’t be concerned with it but I also can’t tell you what it is to be certain.

Agree with this. If you’re concerned about hydroids, my Aiptasia Eating Filesfish polished those off. But, then he went after my LPS and Zoas.
