ID Help Please!

Anyone know what these are? Notice there is some sort of sac below the polyps. Anyone know? Since they're ugly, I'd like to get rid of them.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks everyone.

Nicole...does that mean shoot them with a kalk soution via a syringe? Sorry for the stupid question, I don't only any kalk solution.

Yup, i would do the same as Nicole. Create a kalk paste, turn off pumps and cover the hydroids using a syringe, pipette, or turkey baster.

Take some kalk powder and add a little Ro water -- just enough to make a paste watery enough you can suck it up in a syringe.

Turn off all the pumps and wait for water to settle. Using the syringe, gently blanket the hydroids in kalk. Wait a few minutes -- maybe 10-15. Turn pumps back on.

You don't want to use so much that a lot goes flying around the tank when the pumps come back on. Once it is dissolved in water, it's safe, but the powder is very caustic and can burn fishes and corals. You don't need to total cover them. If you want to get crazy and have a lot of time on your hans -- or have a lot you want to treat all at once -- use a syringe with a fine needle and just drop a little in the individual tubes.

In a small tank, you may want to only use a little kalk and do several treatments, so that the kalk doesn't cause a pH or Alk spike.
