Due too help problems my tank was neglected for some time. I'm now at a point that I want to get it back. I have this brown slime/snot like stuff. I have attached a few pics from a microscope in hopes someone can say for sure what it is. I think it's dino's

Looks nothing like the dinos I've seen..
The only times I've seen stuff/bacteria like that is those posts about having excessive amounts of "scented candles",etc... and the phthalataes contained in them in the room close to the tank..

I've seen recommendation that Dr Tims "Re-Fresh" then also using "Waste Away" helped with that problem..

I think the bacteria sited as the problem was Alcaligenes xylosoxidans..

Lets see if this site will let me link here..

Well that’s interesting. I do not use any scented candles or air freshener in my home due to the tank. I’ll take a look at the link and see if it helps. Thanks for the help. After reading all of that I don’t think that is it at all. They are referring to the whitish bacteria common with carbon dosing like bio pellets. I’ve seen that before. This stuff is definitely green/brown. I guess I’m at the point that I’ll remove what fish are there and do a restart :(

Latest pics dont make it look green/brown at all to me..good luck...
I highly doubt a restart is required but for some that can be a faster/easier way out..
