id mantis?

i think i have alot of mantis shrimp in my refugium some are green some are very small and white some are brown or red i have seen one in my main tank the biggest is about 1/2 in . help

doesn't look like a mantis too me but the pic is a little blurry.

yea, thats amphipod, they are small crustaceans that are ery benificial in a reef, because they eat waste. They are supposed to live in your fuge, dont kill em. Mantis shrimp are larger, and cooler looking!

im not so sure about N. wenn the eyes look to round to me unless it is infact tbs rock. if you want a positive id try to get a picture of the telson(tail) and post it

Maybe someone should make a sticky post, so people can come on here and see what they have is a pod and not a mantis.

Maybe something that says, IF you want a ID please read this first. and there could be a few pics of pods and a few pics of a mantis. It might help lower the amount of mantis/pod posts.
