Ok, Here is a couple pics of a new pair of clownfish I got. I know what the sold them to me as, and I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought. I know the pics are not that good (taken on cell phone), but good enough to get the idea.... they are young, only between 1.25 and 1.5 inches.

Lucy and Ricky.....???
Bert and Ernie...???
Al and Peg...???

oh, its snow use....I dunno...I'm flakin' out on names too.....

I was told they were black ice, but I'm having other ideas. So, I thought I'd ask what more knowledgable people thought. They do have a crazy blueish line where the white meets the black.

Anyhow, got them for a very good price, and I like them anyhow so.... [profanity]

Never had black ice (currently have black snowflakes) but have seen pics and they look similiar. If you bought them from a breeder than I would trust they are what you bought them as. I think snowonyx is a hybrid between ocellaris and percula.

That is a Snowflake more likely, possible but less likely a SnowOnyx or SnowflakeXPercula

What did the breeder sold them to you as?

One of my lfs had someone bring them back to him after 6 months. He knew they were the same ones due to the males markings. He got them from a reputable wholesaler out of tampa (he told me the nAme but i forget - creative or designer aquatics or somthing) So he was getting ready to acclimate them, and he offered me a deal I couldn't say no to... ;-) I'll take a better pic of the male to post. He has been hosting in my frogspawn during the daylight hours so I should be able to get a better pic.

The female comes in with him for a little bit, then leaves to go hang out under her favorite powerhead.... I'm sure he will convince her its more fun to play in the frogspawn.... eventually. Or he will give up and leave his fun spot to go hang out where she wants.
