Yesterday, I turned the lights out in my tank to acclimate some new additions when I noticed that one of my clownfish had some strange marks on him (pictures provided below). The marks are on his head didn't seem raised at first but then later that night it seemed as if the areas in question began to swell a bit. Tank is well established (2.5 years old). This spotcinctus clownfish pair has been in my tank for about a year without any signs of illness until now. It was being picked on pretty heavy by the larger, more dominant of the two, but I doubt any nipping would occur to the head. Another theory is that he has tried to host my torch and gotten stung. I just hope it isn't uronema. There have been some past issues with ich and marine velvet but those epidemics wiped the tanks out years ago and I haven't seen any signs of that since. The fish is not acting out of the ordinary, and I fed him shortly after noticing the issue without any problems. I would like to know what the disease/injury is as well as what the actions I should take to rehab the fish. I'm in a tough spot currently because my quarantine actually shattered when it fell off the shelf a month ago.
Tank Inhabitants:
Spotcinctus Clownfish pair (including the one in question)
2 peppermint shrimp (could they be picking at him while he "sleeps"?)
Parameters:
Ammonia: 0.00 ppm
Nitrate: 0.2-0.5 ppm
Phosphate: about 0.03 ppm
Salinity: 1.024
Temp: 78 degrees Fahrenheit
Alkalinity: 10.7 dKh (around that I tested last night and forgot to write it down)
Calcium: 450 ppm (not that it matters what the alk/calc is but just to be safe)
pH: pending, lent the test kit to a friend, should be getting it back today
