Mantis Pistol Shrimp

Mantis Pistol Shrimp

I saw that exact same shrip at a LFS this past weekend, they told me it's a Mantis Pistol Shrimp and that it makes the same clicking noises that a Mantis would when it's beating on a hermit. They were asking 29.99 for it. Pretty cool looking critter.

Which goes to show you how retarded LFS can be. Calling something a "mantis-pistol" is like saying you own a "beagle-poodle." That shrimp is probably some sort pistol shrimp, but is DEFINITELY not a mantis.

definately a small pistol shrimp, the enlarged claw is the "pistol"
