ok I just noticed this right now and was wondering what it was! Im crossing my fingers that its not aiptasia. Can someone I.D?

looks like the picture is from the back of the critter.
hard to say what it is from that angle.
where did the rock come from ?
might be a cup coral if it's gulf / tampa / florida type rock.
might be an anemonie of several kinds, not all of the small clear ones are bad.
need to see the mouth and the base to make any better id / guess.

I got it from the LFS? lol I dont know the orginal location.I'll take a pic but its going to be hard from the back side of my tank...I dont want to touch it >_<

LOL, poor thing looks bleached!I didn't know aiptasia could bleach. Maybe you can kill it easier. I use pickling lime instead of kalk. I've also used vinegar.

dc, pickling lime and kalc are both the same thing. And from my experience, you don't have to inject you just have to slightly cover for it to be effective.
Also before you kalk it, you might want to google curlicue anemone. I have one that everyone mis-id's as an aptasia.
If your's is bleached the rings around the tenticals might not be pronounced like they are in the above pic.

yeah, there are a bunch of "Glass Anemone's" but not all of them are the bad ones....
but folks get in a panic and sometimes I've seen them ready to kill of cup corals, curli-cues and other things....

Does hypo salinity work? I have a bucket of 40ppt saltwater calling out for the aiptasia to take a dip =)
I don't that will do anything to them. I have a 10 gal cold water reef in my shop that stays 65 degrees in the winter,(cuz it's about 60 in the shop). Only things in it are a mantis shrimp, an emerald crab, and a tigertail cuke. Oh, about a hundred aiptasia. I don't have to even turn the lights on. The shop has no flouresents 12 ft up,(8 ft off the tank). They still open up and still breed!

hm atleast it will seperate the rock so it doesnt spread to other rocks.
