ID on 2.5" wide crab

Found this guy in my aquarium tonight when I was looking around with a flashlight. Definitely the largest hitch-hiker I've ever had...

He's about 2.5" across and is grey in colour, with fairly thick (and sort of hairy) legs, kind of stubby.

I thought it was an Emerald Crab, but I'm not sure... ID please!

Thank you

Looks a little too fat for a mithrax, is there any way you can get a front photo of the crab?

Might just be the way the legs are tucked in.

Can you lure him out with food? He's bad news either way, but he's slightly less bad news if he's an emerald. At least emeralds stay small.

I've been trying to find him again with no luck so far! I've had the tank running for well over a year and suddenly last night, Level 10 crab appears.

Sorry for the crap photos. I will definitely try to catch a few more of him when I see him next. Perhaps this is the reason my Chromis kept disappearing? I don't have too much experience with crabs.

If it's mithrax, the chances of him killing fish aren't that likely (still possible)

If it's a xanthid, he could very much be to blame.

Although fwiw chromis often just die with no explaination (besides parasites which they get VERY often, and killing each other off for some reason.)
