ID on clam please...

A friend bought this little guy for me this weekend, knowing I've been looking at them for my tank. He found a 'sale' on them and couldn't resist, so, now I have a clam, and want to double check the requirements. He picked 'the pretty blue one'.....

Currently, he's about mid-level in a 33 Oceanic cube, with a 150 MH 14K light. I can move him about as needed, just want to be sure of his placement.

Any help is appreciated, and if needed, I can try and get a better picture.

What kind of hippopus clams are you looking at. lol. THe shell is totally different shape. More like a horse hoove. Thats deffinatly a maxima.
