This rather large worm was removed from one of my LFS' tanks. It's lying on the bottom of a 10 liter bucket. I'd estimate the length to at least 10 inches. It stung the LFS guy in the finger, he had to remove lots of spikes. It does look like a fireworm, right?
Common names are...common and mean little. But that looks more like what's commonly referred to as a fire worm which could be harmful to corals where what are generally called bristleworms are harmless.
