ID on this red worm / string looking thing?

Sometimes I see a white string coming off it. Friend or foe?

It's a vermetid snail. I'd get rid of it. The 'string' will irritate nearby corals and they spread rapidly.

Forceps hemostats heavy tweezers all work. Superglue in the opening works too

I never noticed any then One day they were everywhere. Get rid of em. You'll stab yourself sooner or later. Corals and grazing fish don't like that white stuff. Also crush the body not just the tube. Good luck!
