I found the same thing in my overflow as well... Just last night. There are so many I can't count them and they are all kinds of different sizes. At first I saw one on a piece of live rock that I thought was a white sponge, then I found one on a turbo snail shell. Now I find them all over the over flow.

Here a picture of the ones I found.

Also, a bit more on the description, they appear to be wormlike, like a tubework of sorts, but no feathers. At the open end it appears like the orafice is like that of a sponge, and the body is surrounded by a spongy mass. The foot that attaches to the glass has two to three branches and looks like the foot of say a clam or anemone. Some of them have thin hair like red worms (spaghetti worms?) Around the base or under the foot. But only a few of mine have the red worms the rest are all white/cream colored or slightly brown from algae growing on the "shell"

thanks for the infor,

what about the white thread like things stick to my glass? i have found a lot of them all over the overflow and sumps.

I think I got all this after I have bought 2 new corals (hammer and torch) last 3 weeks ago. I never remember saw those creatures in the past.

hope to hear more from you guys.

cheers,
