My tusk has some bad looking spots on the joints of his front fins, I am wandering if they are scraping where he lodges himself in the rock work. Or if there is some type of parasite and if so how to treat it. If it is just a injury is there anything I can do to make it heal quicker? Basically at the joints he has holes going through them. Body looks fine. Doesn't look like any other spots except on his rear tail there are a couple of translucent specs in the clear part but that might be normal. He has been pulled and put in a QT

Not sure. It could be lymphocystis, which is viral, and no med I know helps. You might try food soaked in Selcon, a nutrient supplement, which might help the fish fight it off. There is a chance it's bacterial, but not by the look of it, which does not have the cottony look of bacterial slime. If it has a finely granular appearance, like sugar, it's likely lymphocystis. I've had it turn up, lost the fish, nobody else in the tank caught it: it doesn't seem that contagious.

Thank you for the reply, I need to get a better pick, it looks like popped blisters, then that one has a little peace of meat handing out it looked like.

Ah crud. I have a wrasse with what looks like this with a darker area inside. By chance already soaking food w Selcon and the fish is in QT with 4 others. Just completed 25 days of cupramine treatment. Hope he makes it. Yours too!!

I've had something similar to this in my clown, a bit more red an inflamed. Kanaplex seems to be slowly taking care of it.
