ID please. Is it algae?

This (algae?) is growing on my glass in the area about the size of a dime. It looks like it's systemic and each node has a polyp. I cannot find it anywhere else in my system so far. IMG_0014.jpg

Looks like hydroids. They look like feather dusters a bit too, but the network of runners connecting them makes me think hydroid.
 
Definite. A nuisance, rarely become anything more than that, attached to rock. If it does, some kalk paste or a peroxide dip will fix it. For now, ignore it: you can do far more harm trying to wipe out what usually is no problem.
 
Thank you!!! Being attached to the glass makes it hard to dip though. If I scrape it surly I'll have more issues. Being a "nuisance" does that mean it can be dangerous or pose a threat to surrounding occupants?
