ID please.... starfish...

i dont think its an astrena.. the arms seem to be all the same length. body color is white and orangish/brown

its in a teaspoon in the pic. pretty small.

good or bad?

I saw two of the same guys in my tank the other day. astrena is as close to id as i could get, but i agree that the arms are equal in length.

thats an astrena, they dont always have different lengthed legs.

Definitely Asterina. Here is a picture with many different forms.

It could be asterina. Get yourself some bumblebee shrimp: they nip the suckers off starfish feet and generally discourage them from over-producing, which is their big danger. They'll scar your coralline, but that grows back. Besides, the shrimp are the size of horseflies, black and yellow banded, and cute.
