I saw a crab in my local LFS...it was black....looked EXACTLY like an emerald crab...but black...naturally black. Any ideas?

Here in FL there are several species of crabs that are very closely related to emerald crabs, and externally they are just different colors, here near me the ones are bright red. I don't know how habits transfer from one species to the other, but the red ones eat algea and are good aquarium inhabitants. There is also a giant one, it looks like an emerald crab on steroids, it gets around 10 inches, eats anything it can catch including snails and fish, as well as plant material, it is an ugly grey with light colored joints, I don't know what the small ones look like, but as a small crab I would think it is an algea eater and scavenger.
