How can i get this bubble algae off my snail??

Cheers guys.

1) hair algae
2)doesnt look like it, hard to tell, could be a hitchhiker zoo.
3)looks to be more hair algae
4)im not sure how you would go about removing it on a snail, all i know is that hes going to spread that quickly.

good luck

1. Hair Algae
2. looks like a button polyp to me. dont know what the leafy stuff is.
3.more Hair algae
4. the only way i can think of for removing the algae from the snail is to take him out of the tank and scrub it off with soft brush. may want to use a dish with some SW in it for rinsing.

Thx's....anybody else have any ideas on the leafy vegetation?

i believe i found out the leafy stuff is called Sargassum Weed.

its a weed. i wont hurt anything but it may cover something that you want to grow. and it grows really fast. and will take over your tank. according to my Algae A Problem Solver Guide, by Julian Sprung, "this algae blooms under good quality water conditions, and it seems to have a positive effect on water quality, though it may shade or smother corals."

i would vote to take it our if you want corals. mannual removal is the only way known.
