I got a bunch of chaeto a few weeks ago and found this little guy in there. I'm guessing it's a feather duster but wasn't sure.

If you kill it with a kalk paste (my preferred method), joes juice, or aiptasia x, I recommend turning your pumps off while you apply the paste and leaving them off for 10 minutes. When threatened aiptasia tend to release a larvae into the water which can cause them to quickly repopulate. That's why I like kalk paste. It can fully cover the aip, set, and kind of cement them in. Keeping the pumps off helps to prevent them from spreading around the tank.

Thank you I'm all over it

If you have already had one spread from the cheato already you may be in for a bit of a struggle. i would pull the rock and burn the bugger to death. rinse with ro or fresh water and then keep a close eye for more. Is this a reef tank of fish only? If its fish only you can always add a Klien Butterfly fish. I think at some point all of us had Aptasia and with won or lost the battle. However, some of the nicest reef setups i have seen flourished with them in their display.
