What is this gray slimy blob thing that I just found growing on a live rock? Seams to spread, I have no idea, and couldn't find anything like it online.
Yup.. It's a sponge. Beneficial filter feeder. You will end up with many types eventually. I have red, green, white, blue, black, and yellow growing in various places in my DT and sump.
