Reefman77,

Someone pointed this post out to me and I believe this to be a relatively rare Acropora convexa. I came to this decision by the thin branches, and flush triangular radial corallites with a few incipient axial corallites.

I hope this helps but I could easily be wrong as I rarely see this Acropora.

Actually if you click on photo #2 and #4 you can get a larger popup image (for those who don't realize this) you can see that the radial corallites are very similar in shape and they also have a few Incipient Axial corallites that extend from the branch (just like your photo). But there are so many Acropora that resemble this particular shape it is very difficult especially when flow is involved. It can completely distort the shape of the coral so that it becomes something that looks like everything else. Which means that this could easily be a strange looking A. tenuis :) .

Does anyone have any change? I only have a half cent to offer....

what do you need a picture of? one off the braches broke of durring shipping. I may be adle to get a close up of that if it helps.
also its a wild colony if that helps

just wondering how much a piece like this is worth if it is A. Convexa. the color in the pick isnt true. its more of a neon green

Thanks everyone :)
