False Percs.

True percs have more black on them.

Here is a pic of my true percs.

sorry i was looking for some expert advice here no offence read this and you will see the black although an indicator means little.

My guess would be tank bred percs...whos parents could have been T. Percs. Alot of times you can tell tank bred percs or osc. clowns becuase their jaws seem to have an underbite. This looks like it may be the case with the clown in the front. They also are still young from what I would guess based on the tail bar.

they were not labelled anything other than clownfish and cost 500 baht 10 dollars for the pair.price is not relevant as I live in thailand and its relative, onyx (wc) go for around 1200 baht 24 bucks a pair but like i said it is relative and most of the fish shop owners (around 20 shops in the market who sell fish and coral) are totally in the dark about prices and species info which is good for me!!

anyone in thailand on holiday go to chatuchak market and check out the fish section it is amazing pm me for a guided tour if you are here on holiday!!

you must come and see
I am not lying standard prices
local h. mags 200 baht 5 bucks (sad but most, if not all are doomed)
green carpets (haddoni) small 200 baht

lta 500 baht 12 bucks
imported stuff from singapore starts to cost a little more
btas are around 1000 baht 25 bucks and rbtas around 1500 (from singapore)

get the odd gigantea but they are cheap too 500 baht as they are readily avaliable but luckily they are left alone because they die so quickly

most expensive are red and blue carpets at about standard US prices

( i got an 8 inch purple for 300 baht)

there are some good/succesful enthusiats here both thai and farang (foriegner)
but most people cant afford the hardware needed so they stick to fresh
(the discus bred here are simply amazing and cheap)

i would have a tank full of gigantea and onyx clownfish
her we get BTA for 30 to 150 and carpets start at like 70 dollars
that fish in your avatar is it your?

I think the bottom fish looks like it is an A. ocellaris. I think the eyes is typical of Ocellaris. If you look at xenon's fish (A. percula), that is how eyes of Perculas should look like.
On the other hand, the top fish have eyes look more like A. percula. They eye is more typical of A. percula and the black around the third bar looks more like a young A. percular coloration.
If these are tank breed, they are most likely hybrid Ocellaris-Percula.

orion thanks they are wc so who knows?

gsm no thats a photo i took in malaysian borneo mabul island

I have to side with Xenon and say they're ocellaris...........plus you said you got them cheap which most of the time is another sign..........that's just my $0.02
