This was found crawling around my tank after i pruchased the LR for my nano.

Its about an inch long and seems to enjoy the diatom bloom happening in the tank.

That underside shot is the clincher - it's a chiton. Are any of the 8 shell plates visible on the top? It will do just fine grazing on microalgae off the glass & rocks.

Yes there are what look like shell plates on top, I was not sure at first but seeing your reply has confirmed it. Thanks for the help.
