I have something growing on one of my rocks as well as the back wall. At first I thought it was just an odd form of coralline but I doubt that now. The growths are egg shaped maybe two by three millimeters and although they do not touch or overlap they are found mainly in groups. I have not got a picture of them yet but one more thing I have found is that they feel sort of like the non-slip pads people use in showers. They are starting to move to my back wall, don't seem to be bothering anything I just want to know what they could be.

Matt-

We'll really need a pic to try and get an ID for you. From your appearance description, sounds like bubble algae, but I could be way off without a pic. What color are they?

Thanks for the guesses and I know I need a pic. I don't know i forgot to mention the color. They are white. The ones that have been around a while have a slight green tint to them though. The pics I have are not great but it gives you a good idea. They are not bubble algae but are raided slightly off the surface to which they are attached. No visible mouth or anything else coming out of them.

These are some of the oldest ones I think.

Don't let the shadow fool you, these don't raise off the surface but a mm or so.

I wrote this and the wife came home, so now you have some pictures... although not great pictures.

Well... that would be what it is... I have never heard of them laying sacs like that... Thanks for the help guys... I had written off the snails since I have seen other types of chains of eggs in my tank.
