ID Sick Yellow Clown Goby

Okay guys, this is the 2nd time I bought the same fish from teh same place and he has the same disease as the first one did before it died. When i picked this one out, the LFS had 5 of these fishes, 4 of them had the same sickness except for this big one i picked out but now he has it again.


What is this as its one of my favorite fish and saddens me.

PS: Will it get my coral sick as it lays in there?

It's covered in ich. You can try and rescue it by pulling it from the tank and placing it in QT to treat. More info - http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1985626

You'll need to leave your dispaly tank fishless for 6-8 weeks for the ich to completely die off in the tank. Also, do NOT buy a fish that is housed in a tank with other sick fish.

shoot! i can't i have lke 3 fishes in there with corals

There is no way to treat properly in the display tank. It has to come out of the tank, all of the fish and put into QT.

You cannot go on repeating the same actions---buying the same fish from the same place and putting them in your infested tank---and expecting different results.

No, you cannot have 3 fish [for long] in a tank infested with a deadly parasite.
To get rid of the parasite you may keep the coral in the tank, but you may not put any fish in the tank for 12 weeks. The fish should be put in a separate tank that shares NOTHING with your regular tank, not water, not nets, not fingers, and treated with hyposalinity for however long it takes---four weeks isolation after the LAST ich has fallen off them. The instructions for hyposalinity treatment are in the sticky notes for this forum.
You are likely to lose the fish if you do not treat them quickly and appropriately.

I dont have another aquarium, can I do this in a bucket or it has to be another aquarium?

what methods can I do to treat it while in the tank? nothing workS?

I wouldn't mind the copper method in that link, but I think i have to add the copper in a separate tank correct?

okay so I found a big 5 gallon bucket I have,

should I put the 2 fishes in taht bucket, create new SW and leave them there? what I dont get are these 2 things, 1) wont the new water with fish create a cycle and cause ammonia which will lead to death? and 2) won't the ich that falls off the fish come back on the fish since it is in the same "QT bucket of water?"
