does any one know what kind of zoas the following are? they are wine-redish with little bit of purple overall. the mouth is green. when they close up, there are white strips coming out of the center of the mouth. here are 2 pictures:

pictures are taken under 14k MH. the whole colony have over 40 polyps. i want to know what they are and if i over paid them or not.

thanks!

how much do they usually go for? is $19 sounds about right? yes i think they look pretty cool. they are much bigger than (like maybe 4 times bigger) my other zoas. anyway, i am happy with them :) thx everyone.

it's from 6th avenue and that's why i want to ID them and make sure i didn't over paid them crazy given their reputation. the fire and ice (25 to 30 polyps) that delsol650 ID are free. they have more fire and ice (maybe another 10 polyps or so) and i think they are free too if you buy anything.

when i first got them (couple days ago), they look half dead in their tank but within one day in my tank, they all open up and it's even bigger today. so far i am happy :)

If you put the PE is higher light like T5s or MH's they might even morph to different colors or speckles and such.. depending on water parameters, color spectrum and light intensity.

I got some of my PE's there too.. was green now with higher light have shades of pink. Make sure you dipped them in Lugols or some sort even FreshWater dip with RO to expell any lurking pests such as zoo eating NUDI or bacteria of sorts.

PE's usually grow to about a nickle size, grandis to about 1/2dollar, typicall zoos about the size of an eraser head not counting skirts, protopalythoa varies.

I have some Green with pinkish PE's, Reverse gorrilla Nips and a couple of other ones for ya too.

Oh, its ok.. I'm running out of realestate in my 100.. will be needing that space for frags that I'll be making soon...

You could probly use that as a trade with another reefer. I already got 2 Kenya's and xenia's taking space in my frag corner..

I could just meet you at the walgreen in westborough off the freeway.. So you don't have to commute to pacifica and take the cuts... just call me when your passing the airport... It'll only take me 8 mins or so to get to the walgreens.

Identification? Zoanthus Palythoa?

The "People Eater" type polyps would be Zoanthus gigantus.

ok. i can meet you at your house since i already have your address. besides, i want to check out your tank :) is that fine?
