I think you got it right with the ora chips acro, I hope it continues to grow good.

Thank You

"Looks like" but without lineage to ORA, then it really can no longer be. It is too fuzzy to ID, you would just be guessing if you are going by the color and fuzzyness. Can we get a pic with the polyps closed up?

ORA frags will have a distinct frag plug. It's usually a black thick spike with a dome head. Almost looks like a thick tac nail.

Don't think its an ora frag plug, but couldn't it still be a chip acro without the ora name?

It is just a small frag so it could be a lot of things. I am guessing A. subulata to start off http://sdmas.com/corals/73.php.

Only ORA made chip's acro, therefor chip's acro corresponds to frags that are from the exact colony. If you guess it then it is falsify it identity in my opinion. People that pay good money for ORA frags hate to see knock offs. Wouldn't you? So IMO I think you will be more justified in finding the correct species name then tagging a well known name on it. If the coral looks good it will speak for itself, no fancy name needed.

Not trying to pass it off as anything it not, just saying ora didnt create a a coral may have gave it a fancy name but this could be the same thing. Or it may not I don't know the name of it thats why Im asking. They all at one point came from the wild. You can find the same species of coral without the ora name. I'll just wait for it to grow out some more to get a proper id. Thanks
