ID this and then confirm if RTN

I did some work for a local reefer in return for some frags. He threw in one that I have no idea on what it is. I asked him again and he said it was a Blue Ridge coral. When I google this, the pictures don't look like what I have.

The second picture shows the coral 2 weeks after having it. It appears to be RTN to me? Or could it be new growth? Not sure..

it's in a nano with a Kessil A150. I can't properly ID this so I am not sure on the care. He said it would grow in a "Spiral" when it does and to place it on the back wall..

The coloring on this is a gray-blueish tone.

any help is appreciated.

Looks like Green Star Polyps, a soft coral. I would give em good water flow and they should do fine.

Ah. I almost thought that was coraline algae. Now that i see it i am guessing Montipora hodgsoni. http://coral.aims.gov.au/speciesPages/species_metadata/0732/view#

It will plate upward and spiral on the sides when it grows too long/wide.

Btw i have that under a Sky Blue A150W and it grows and looks great.

Montipora hodgsoni is Idaho Grape but with out the show name that "used" to have lineage to it.

nice Frick didnt know that. this cap is very common in the hobby never checked into it.
