ID this brown piece please

This sucker was labeled as a Lepastrea, something that I've never seen. Picked it up since it was relatively cheap for a palm size brown coral.

Anyone have a clue to what it is?

I would say Porites Lobata

I would agree, Porites lobata or closely related. Admittedly, this is not my strong genus! The few Leptastrea I've seen had a very 'geometric' look to them, and this coral is uneven and random in structure.

P. lobata is the same stuff that christmas worms grows on correct?

If that's the one, then this isn't it. The texture is very different. Also you can't find monti eating nudis on porites correct?
