When you say "black clown" are you referring to black occelaris?

These clowns are probably 9-12 months old...They started out orange with a gradiated black coloring from top(darkest) lightening up towards the bottom.

the eye says ocellaris
orange on the bottom rear fin says it had a dose of orange ocellaris in its ancestry

It is a cross between Darwin Black Ocellaris and an Onyx Percula. This cross was started by Sanjay and was named Black Photon clowns.

Looks like a Maine mocha ocellaris from sea and reef here in Maine.
