id this critter !

I got some tampa bay saltwater rock the other day , part 2 of my package.
I am still sorting out stuff and getting it located right in the tank, where what light water flow etc....
but one item is a bit odd, I think this might be a large tunicate possibly ?
its about 2 inches long by 1 inch thick, true color is just brown.
soft like a sponge or a starfish and attached to the rock but could be pulled lose if I was not carefull.

I don't know if tunicates get that big but it certainly is some kind of tunicate barnicle type creature Very cool hitchhiker. Maybe ask TBS what they are, I'm sure they would know.

I'll see what I can find out if anything
 
ok yes I have a few id that all agree.... yes also called a "Sea Squirt" we mostly see the really small colonial ones that look more like a sponge, in the past I have seen some cool ones that were like jewels.... this is my first one this big.
every load of www.tampabaysaltwater.com live rock has some kind of surprise for us!
