ID this disease / parasite???

Stupid move and dumped some fish in sans QT.

Purple tang (new fish) showed signs of ich. Treated/medicated with metro/selcon to try and improve immune sys. Ich or w/e the disease was appeared to recede.

1 week later it appears it is coming back. Can be seen on all five of my tangs now. Hippo has it worst.

It appears to be a bump on the skin, almost like a small pimple. Also see small white spots that look like ich, and also much larger white spots are appearing.

I'll try and take more pics later.

Having a hard time taking a good picture with the constant motion and LEDs..

The large white spots almost appear to be fuzzy.. While there are the typical small ich-like white spots mixed in..

The small white spots appear to be Ich; the larger ones are probably a (secondary) bacterial infection. If all 5 tangs have it then this is really bad news. You need to setup a QT and treat ASAP.

Yup, going to try and tear down the tank tmrw so I can catch them all and stick everybody in a 100G rubbermaid QT. What a pain!

I'm guessing the ich buried under the skin and rising to the surface caused a wound which became infected?

Should I be treating an antibiotic like Maracyn Two? Before or after Cupramine?

You can use antibiotics with copper. Saltwater Maracyn 1 & 2 are good, but also hard to find. So something like Furan-2 would be a suitable alternative.

I've dealt with something that looks exactlt like this.

Nothing worked.
Prazi, copper, malachite, antibiotics, quinine and hypo didn't work.

One thing I noticed is that the spots stay on longer than the normal ich which is probably why the meds didn't work.

I also noticed that the spots tend to fall off faster in darkness.

I would move them to a quarantine and cover up the tank with a blanket and do tank transfer. If you decide to return them to the main tank, they might get reinfected as no one is sure how long the fallow period is.

what temperature do you maintain the qt tank at what temp is the DT .I have had that same infection appear on a female tomato clown that every time she started to fan up the sand prior to spawning , mean while the 4 tangs never showed signs. I considered it ick . Everyone had survived a ick attack the year prior which i greatfully treated AND SUBSIDED the ick with ploy labs aquamedic
