Wondering if anyone could help ID this strange worm I found in my tank please. It's about an inch and a half long, here is a pic:

It's a small species of nemertean AKA ribbon worm. They are predators on smaller inverts like other worms and pods, won't bother corals or fish.

Thanks for the reply, I had totally forgotten about posting a pic of this worm until tonight when I saw it again, this time eating my peppermint shrimp. The shrimp was still moving on the bottom of the tank while the worm crawled into his abdomen and began eating his insides. This occurred just before lights out, when the shrimp is usually hiding in the rocks, not on the sand bed.

Did this thing kill my shrimp or just cleaning up an already dying shrimp?

Thanks for the replies, still not sure if I should get rid of it or not. I'm not a "when in doubt take it out" person, I usually leave things be unless it is for sure doing bad things. I even have some eunicid worms in my tank that I love.

If this worm was cleaning up then its a pretty nice cuc because it devoured that shrimp in under 30 minutes. I will just keep an eye on it for the time being.
