Picked up a frag a few days ago, seems a little brown since they had it in low light but its an ORA frag with redish green base with green polyps and violet bluish growth tips.. Anyone?

Pictures dont give it justice, i took pictures with and without blues on..not easy with an iphone :headwalls:

Just check it out, can't be because on the ORA site it says tan and brown base but nothing about the green polyps or green at all

I have seen this coral change colors more than any other coral. Unfortunately it usually looks like the first pic you posted. I still stand with the Orchid, look at the coralites.

It really is a beautiful piece, I wish I had a better camera, I still am skeptical about placement of my corals with these LEDs but I have it maybe 12" from the surface or like 9" in a 24" tank

I would say moderate light for now, move it up if it doesn't get that nice pink tip. IMO flow is more of a concern. Miami Orchid loves good water flow.

What color plug did it come on from ORA? If its a black plug, Orchid, if the plug is white, it could be a no name from MI.

That means that it came from the facility in Florida. The frags that come from Marshall Islands are on white plugs, and the blue plugs are the ones they sell with out a coral attached.
