ID this snail

he just showed up, now I see him everywhere

maybe a stomatella...they breed in aquariums easily...cant be certain with the pic though

Ahhh! A stomatella. It is. I finally found a place with common pests and finds with pictures. Suprisingly it took me weeks to find such a site. You'd think it would be well used and proliferated.

Yep, it's a Stomatella. They have the ability to drop the back half of the foot if they are harrassed or are threatened, almost like a lizard can drop its tail. If you see one like urville's that appears to almost completely fit under the shell, that likely means it's dropped its foot fairly recently.
