ID What is the red/orange spot?

This has been growing slowly on a mushroom frag I bought recently. Anyone know what it might be?

I can't get any closer unfortunately. My main concern is if it needs to be removed. It actually looks really nice next to the green mushroom so I'm tempted to leave it unless folks here advise against that.

Looks like it may be a new mushroom. Let it grow out.
