Ideal sized species tank for haddoni?

hi, i've had an interest in keeping a haddoni anemone for quite a while, and i'm starting to research setting up a species tank for one.

what would be the ideal size for the tank? i do have a 36x12x21 tank laying around, would that work?

i'm not under any rush to get this going. i'm going to use (when i do get it started) live rock, water and sand from my established 90 gallon, and probably let the

also, will t5s be adequate?

thank you!

I think that the 40g would be big enough. If you set up a sump/fuge beneath for a bit more water volume.
Personally i think cube's are the best anemone tanks because of the front to back width is very good and gives your anemone lots of room to grow.
Not sure on the t5's, how many and what type are going to be deciding factors on this i think.

I think a 40 gallon would be fine, but eventually the anemone will get so big that it will take over the whole tank. You would have to build it with that in mind and be very sure to cover up the overflows very well.

Is it a breeder or a 40 gallon tall? If it is a 40 gallon tall and it is only 12 inches wide you will have a disadvantage of the extra depth and the tank not being very wide which is hard to scape.

I think you could keep it under t-5.

it's a 40 tall...

like i said, it's just a tank i have layin around... i can always sell it and get a different one... but this won't be set up until the summer, minimum, i have a feeling.

what would your best sized tank be?

i have the 50 gall 36x18x18 i think this is beter than a 40 br it has thick glass and is deeper and much wider than a 40tall
not many people even know about the 50gal all glass aquarium its great my LFS uses one for their display tank

deeper than 40 tall sorry 18 inchs is the same depth as a 65gal just shallower but deeper than the 40 i think its just right for anysize nem and some corals

well, i'd probably prefer like 6 t5s or something along those lines anyway. maybe the new current fixtures when they have the ind reflectors.

i've got a while, i'm not worried. :)

um the 50 gal has a brace in the center so you would have to do two pendants or tubes but the 40br has no brace i would go for the aquatinics t5 setup if you can swing it

nah, if you have a shadow, that is ok... i might get a custom acrylic one, anyway, i'm just trying to get a good size and shape for the tank.

ah well my ultimate would be 34x21x21 that would be a great tank and your nem cuold grow to his full size

Why not just do a 24" cube in starfire?!
Single pendant will light it and the anemone will have space and 3 sided viewing. A small group of clowns, that would be a very nice tank.
