Ideal Sump Setup

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

So I finally received my baffles for my 20L sump and I'm trying to figure out which would be best for my 65 DT. Based on the size of the tank, I'm wondering if it would he possible to do a protein skimmer and a fuge. If not, what would be a better option considering my future bio load? (Lps, some sps, and 4-5 fish). Thank you!

Find the skimmer and return pump you want first and stick those in the sump, skimmer before the fuge (as far left as possible) and return pump after (as far right as possible). What's left in the middle is for fuge.
Just keep in mind you'll need enough room in the return section to reduce the chance of your pump running dry if your ato fails.
And the extra inches to space out your baffles.
One thing I can see right off the bat is find a different/smaller sock hanger. There's a brand (don't know if I can mention the name but it's what a heart attack victim gets before the ambulance arrives) that will take up half the space of your current one. That will give you more space in your first chamber.
And like mcgyvr said, it'll be small. What with a heater and ato lines and temp probes and any reactor you want and, and.....
I have a 55 set up as a sump on a 55 and I wish I had the space for a 100 gallon horse trough.
That being said, there are small sumps out there with fuges. Just find one you like the looks of and then think outside the box in terms of baffle placement.

This picture may help, I just setup my sump a few weeks ago. It's a 20 high and I managed to squeeze in a skimmer (Bubble Magnus Curve 5) with a filter sock and heater on the left, a small fuge, in the center and the pump on the left. The layout is tight but pretty easy to work around.

At 30" wide you should have room for skimmer and fuge. Use a skimmer with a compact footprint(pump inside skimmer) return section can be in middle of sump as well. It does not have to be all the way on one side
