Yes it is. How many are interested in a March meeting? We have had suggestions for Sakura and Catfish Cabin, and Sakura is in the lead. Give suggestions on March and we can get it planned out early as well. It would be nice to plan out half the year ahead of time. I know that summer time is harder to get people together, so we can limit meetings during that time if needed.
 
Never been to Sakura or catfish cabin so it doesnt really matter to us either way. It would be nice if we could get a closed room that way we could do the giveaways and such too.
 
The only places that come to mind with rooms with doors are Perkins, Logan's, and old country store. As far as prizes I like the controller ideas. Maybe a ATO. i may be able to speak with airwaterice a.b sponsoring and get a RO/Di or atleast some replacement filters and Di. Good people there. Frags n fish are always good. Possibly talk to reef cleaners too a.b a CUC or somethin. As small prizes go.... Can never have too many filter socks or additive supplements. The food was great. Raffles were awesome!!!

Some of the ones I can't get I will see about using some club money to obtain the bigger prizes as long as the club approves and we can get some of the funds back on raffles to continue with to purchase what everyone wants to win.

I like this idea. Any chance to get a starter package going? Like say the lite unit plus a power bar and say a ph and temp probe?

Also how about say test kits for things like hardness, ph, Ammonia and Nitrates?

If you really want to make someone's year, how about a chiller that can also control a heater?
 
Hey Paul,I have the rkl,I don't have a ph probe just a temp probe,I really like haveing it to control lights,heater,fan,and lights,I will be upgradeing to apex soon to control the vortechs along with the other equipment.

At one point we were going to do a joint trip there with the Middle TN club, but that fell through. It sounds like a great idea to me. The kids love the aquarium and creative discovery museum there. I think my whole family would be interested.

you are going to spend some serious money on that .
I think Aquatic Critter has an Apex in the back showtank, can email data to laptop or phone.
do you leave the probes 24-7 in the water, RKL or Apex?

Apex Lite Controller
The Apex Lite Controller came today from Dr. Foster and Smith.

What a disappointment.
The boxing looks like a company that is just starting out and is using generic boxes. The print work looks like it just came off the bubble jet.
The media (CD) came in a sleeve, but the CD was bland.. so no owners manual.

The Extra purchase of the Ph probe does not include the calibration stuff?

Oh to top that off, the Eheim Jager 100W is 12 degrees off. But they are sending me a new one that I should receive in 9-10 days.

So is there any controllers out there that don't look like they
 
Honestly though, you don't use the box to control your tank so does it matter if it is wrapped in tinfoil so long as it works.

I'm also dissapointed in my jäger heater as it was also off by a large amount. It's also way too long for only 100 watt.

If you get a reef controller it wouldn't matter. The controller will turn it on when needed and could fix the inaccuracy issue.
