I am planning to build a canopy (wood) for an AGA 120 (4'x2'x2'). I would like to be able to easily remove the canopy. I was thinking of using a pulley system. Anyone have any ideas they want to share? Pictures can help a lot.

Thank you.

I built one for my 72 Bowfront a couple years ago.. I built it with a 1x2 and 1x3 Frame then skined with 1/4 Birch plywood.. It was very Light.. I could lift it on and off by my self.. Pretty much with one hand..

Never done this myself, however you could build a canopy with four legs that reached down to the floor. The legs would have wheels, so it would be a simple matter of rolling it forward and away.

I don't have the doors on the front, but the whole unit is very light. The lamps lift out for servicing or to make the canopy even lighter.

Gday Guys,

we cut our 6x2x2 hood, lengthways, then put in a few hinges. Now the front 4 inches of the hood lifts up & folds back, so we can get at anything in the tank easily...
