Hey all,
I have been contemplating for some time about building a haddoni species tank. I have too much flow in my current SPS/clam tank and don't really have any low flow areas for one. And besides, my wife asked me when I was going to set up another smaller tank
Basically, I would like to be able to keep 3 or 4 nice haddoni specimens, they would be the main purpose of the tank. Here is what I was thinking, and am certainly open to ideas:
tank - 48x18x21 or 48x18x24 with built-in overflows
sump - not sure, maybe 20 gal under tank with powerhead for return;
two phosban reactors - one for phosphate remover, one for either carbon or poly-filters;
skimming - maybe aqua-c pro hang-on or in-sump model
in-tank flow - one or two Tunze nano's?
lighting - this is where I am truly undecided, and am thinking either like a T5 6 bulb Tex fixture, or 2x175w 14K or 20K halides.
and of course LR and 1-2" fine sand
I am trying to keep it simple as possible and without breaking the bank in the process. what do you think?
Jeff
