Ideas for new tank design

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some help on designing my next tank. I've had a 29 gallon (canister filter then switched to emperor HOB). Now I have a 65gallon AGA with sump, bare bottom, Euro-Reef ES5-3 skimmer and the rest of the stuff in my signature.

I'm going to be moving in August but I have the option to set up the new tank in June at the house. I'll only be there for a year or two, so the tank needs to have easy to deal with dimensions so I can fit it through door ways of a new place. I was thinking of ordering a custom tank from mircales in glass after seeing them set up at Aquatech.

At first I wanted a standard size 4x2x2 (120gallon) but if its a custom tank I could have them make any dimension. So I was looking for some ideas. I like depths but I think 3' would be really big (I'm looking for more of a rectangle tank, than a cube).

For equipment, I'm still looking at skimmers (maybe a bullet or MRC) I want a closed loop with an oceans motion as well but first I want to get a tank dimension laid out so I can think about the equipment.

I'm keeping SPS and clams now and would like to do the same with the new tank.

Sorry for the kinda dull open ended questions but I'm just starting to think about it and I've only had two tanks (I haven't been happy with either).

Thanks for any imput,

Neil Miller
