I have a standard 120g (4x2x2) AGA w/ dual overflows on the back, not in the the corners though. Right now i have the 2x6105's in each of the back corners about 4 to 5 inches below the water line aimed to the front middle of the tank. The problem with this in pulse mode and 100/30% power setting on the 7096, i get a huge sand storm.
If I set it on Interval, putting 1 pump in port 1 and the other in port 3, I don't have that problem.
I like the idea of having both pumps running at the same time to have alot more flow and randomness of the flow. Then again, i don't want to have to sand storm.
I guess my question is, what would be the ideal setup to keep the most water moving and not blow the sandbed up. The sand bed is consisting of Aragamax from Carib-sea (very fine grade) and the tank will have mostly SPS with some LPS.
Thanks in advance for any help.
